Prayer is essentially communication with God. In Christianity, God is the embodiment of the Holy Trinity: The Father, The Son + The Holy Spirit.
Using triangular geometry to create a series of spaces
Creating one single wall and a journey through each space
Extruding wall to height of 25m for visual 'landmark' impact
Connection to heavens
Connection to peaceful world
A journey from dark to light
Landscape improves as journey continues
The wall of prayers made of 1,000,000 whole red bricks, each representing one prayer but together encompassing the experience of prayer itself; a journey to peace. The single wall kinks to form a series of triangular spaces, representing the protection of the holy trinity Ñ the father, the son and holy spirit. The journey is one from dark to light, rough to smooth, confusion to clarity, solidarity to companionship. The wall of prayers leads you to peace with the world.
The wall, like Christianity is welcoming, accepting and inclusive. The spaces are atmospheres that can be experienced by all through targeting all senses. The purity of the wall is important, the wall should be made of whole bricks. I chose red bricks as a symbol of christianities acceptance. The humble red brick is familiar and has been fundamental in the creation of our homes, our personal sanctuaries for decades.
